The VAND Perspective
This work was selected for its exceptional mastery of Meaningful Silence. It successfully balances human-centered functionality with a visual language that reduces noise and enhances clarity.
In an era of digital saturation, this project stands as a quiet rebellion; it does not compete for attention but commands it through precision and restraint. By stripping away the superfluous, the design invites a deeper engagement, proving that intentional absence can be the most profound presence.
The Creative Intent
In the middle of an ongoing ecological crisis, and a severely “weakened” environment (at an interplanetary level) our life is slowly distanced from the human foundation, and architecture is required to investigate proposal that will restore, with a holistic approach, the focus on nature and the quality of life, as basic means of survival. The matter in question refers to a sustainable but also a poetic facet of architecture, where they can enhance our perception of what is happening around us and support, with optimism, a better future. The Oxygen workplace is an opportunity to investigate connections introduced in the design, more flexible and at the same time multidisciplinary approaches of creative expression, in relation to more conventional social/spatial concepts that we are used to. During the development of the concept and beyond the sustainability aspect, other disciplines of art like sculpture, photography and poetry, informed in a more abstract but crucial way the architectural “gestures” showcasing an understanding that exceeds a typical logic of a building object and schedule.
