The Creative Intent
OBJECTS OF LEGACY is a homage to India’s vibrant heritage, meticulously hand-crafted by skilled local artisans. The collection artfully reimagines age-old craft techniques, seamlessly integrating them into the realm of modern furniture design. From hand-based woodworking to the vibrant artistry of Charpai weaving, each piece embodies the spirit of cultural evolution and preservation. 'GRAIN OF TIME' reinterprets its legacy with a contemporary, architectural clarity. From a clean linear top, the cabinet subtly widens into a fluted base, recalling Deco's verticality and geometry without replicating its ornament. Its stratified planes reveal structure over surface, while a gradual shift in material treatment suggests evolution: the depth of reclaimed teak giving way to a metallic sheen through delicate foiling. At once functional and sculptural, 'GRAIN OF TIME' honors continuity, material intelligence, and the enduring spirit of Deco.
