Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) refers to traditions, folklore, beliefs, knowledge, languages, and practices recognized by UNESCO as vital parts of humanity’s shared civilization. Unlike monuments or artifacts, ICH lives through people—in oral traditions and expressions, performing arts, social practices, rituals and festivals, knowledge of nature and the universe, and traditional craftsmanship. Precisely because it is inseparable from daily life, it often escapes the walls of traditional museums. Today, UNESCO records more than 700 ICH elements across 145 countries. Yet despite its global importance, there is no coherent, elegant museum platform that brings these practices together in one accessible space. Too often, intangible culture remains invisible, fragmented, and easily forgotten. The ICH Museum proposes a universal archive: a calm, minimal digital interface where heritage is not isolated, but shared. The branding embodies this universality—each cultural artifact is framed within a simple black rectangle, a “window” through which any image, video, or performance can fit, regardless of origin. This avoids privileging any single culture, while offering a collective space for humanity’s intangible legacy. In the future, the platform also introduces connective features such as a cultural calendar, allowing users to follow rituals and festivals across the globe. These functions are not the focus but act as bridges—reminding us that intangible heritage is still alive, practiced, and celebrated today. By creating a universal digital commons, the ICH Museum preserves not only objects but also the living essence of human creativity, making the intangible visible and accessible to all.
