Ce travail a été sélectionné pour sa maîtrise exceptionnelle du Silence Significatif. Il équilibre avec succès la fonctionnalité centrée sur l'humain avec un langage visuel qui réduit le bruit et améliore la clarté.
À l'ère de la saturation numérique, ce projet se dresse comme une rébellion silencieuse ; il ne cherche pas à capter l'attention, mais la commande par sa précision et sa retenue. En éliminant le superflu, le design invite à un engagement plus profond, prouvant qu'une absence intentionnelle peut être la présence la plus profonde.
L'intention créative
The design task was a small, 60 m2 summer residence on a seaside plot in the archipelago of southwestern Finland, where there was already a modernist atrium villa designed by architect Pekka Pitkänen built in the 1960s. Despite the small size, the customer wanted sleeping places for five and a shared kitchen, dining and living area. The wooden cottage has been built on pillars so that it destroys the beautiful rock as little as possible, and the terraces bordered by walls have provided more living space protected from the winds. There is a campfire site in the middle of the terrace, just like in primitive dwellings.
