About The 'Logo Design' Course
To enroll in this course, you must first complete the 'Design Literacy' course
This course takes a critical look at contemporary logo designs. The expectations that clients have from logos and the perceptions that designers hold about logos require a critical reassessment. The course focuses on why we design logos in the first place, the strategic objectives of a logo design, and the processes involved in logo design.
The instructor of the current courses at Vand Academy is Touraj Saberivand and each of these courses is completed within one month. Strategies of logo design
Whether a logo for an organization should be a logotype, an iconic symbol, or geometric is not dependent on the choice and creativity of the design requesters, nor is it solely based on the preferences of designers. Before designing, we must analyze what kind of logo or possibly which logos this organization needs.
Criteria for logo design
There is a set of simplistic criteria regarding logos that suggest logos should be simple and executable in all materials. These criteria are prevalent and valid, but beyond them, the strategy of selecting logo styles, the logo's performance in the minds of the audience, memorability, recallability, the form that remains in the audience's mind, and other criteria are more important in logo design. Today's designers must design logos with such a perspective and with such criteria.
Real Logo design project
In this course, designers select three real or hypothetical projects and, with the guidance of the course instructor, take a logo design project from start to finish to gain a real experience of logo design projects, enabling them to experiment, make mistakes, and be ready for custom projects. Time will be allocated for designers to design, create, and execute a real project in this course.
